Sheffield researchers explore AI for research that matters

Researchers from across the University of Sheffield gathered on 1–2 October for AI for Research Days 2026: two days of talks, workshops and networking co-organised by the Centre for Machine Intelligence (CMI), Dell Technologies and NVIDIA.

Innovative project will use AI to help policymakers to recognise and counter disinformation

The ‘Polinoculate’ project will develop a freely accessible AI ‘coach’ to give policy stakeholders the tools to counter the rising problem of information manipulation, whilst safeguarding freedom of expression.
