Professor Per Bullough
Professor of Structural Biology
Per's team focuses on two challenging areas of structural biology: membrane proteins and very large macromolecular complexes. Their main technique is high resolution cryo-electron microscopy, which is often used to complement other structural techniques such as X-ray crystallography.
Dr. Jason Wilson
BBSRC Discovery Fellow
Jasons’ research focuses on using advanced electron microscopy approaches to investigate biological systems across molecular and cellular scales. He combines high resolution single particle cryoEM and cryoelectron tomography (cryoET), alongside complementary techniques such as mass spectrometry, structural prediction, and molecular microbiology. He also has a particular interest in determining molecular structures in a near-native context.
