Hannah joined the University of Sheffield in 2024 as a Research Associate in the Cancer and Bone (CAB) Lab, under Dr Alanna (Leni) Green). Hannah is investigating the impact of the bone microenvironment on multiple myeloma dormancy, with a focus on bone cell and cancer interactions.
Hannah completed her PhD at the University of Southampton in 2022, ‘Developing a 3D Multicellular Bone Model of Osteosarcoma’. Following completion she stayed at the University of Southampton as a research associate investigating the suppressive mechanisms of macrophages in a cancer setting.
- Qualifications
-
PhD in Cancer Sciences, University of Southampton,
MRes in Translational Cancer Medicine, King’s College London
BSc in Biological Sciences, University of Essex
- Research interests
-
My research interests focus on bone/immune/cancer interactions. I am interested in how bone cell signaling regulates tumourigenic development in cancer, both primary and metastatic. I am also interested in how immune regulation is disrupted in the tumour microenvironment.
