Information on the options for receiving your graduation certificate.
Digital certificates
Following graduation, your will be released in Gradintelligence. It will be available to download approximately one week after all the graduation ceremonies have taken place if you were conferred at a ceremony, or one week after In Absentia conferment.
Physical certificates
Attending graduation
If you attend your ceremony you will receive your certificate on the day, unless your award was previously conferred in absentia, in which case you should have already had it posted out to you.
Not attending graduation
If you are not attending graduation you need to register your intention to graduate in absentia. This allows you to confirm your personal details and to provide an address for us to post your certificate to following the ceremonies. We are unable to send your certificate if you don't complete this process.
Postage of certificates
Certificates to the UK
Certificates sent to addresses in the UK are sent by second class mail as standard. However, if you would like your certificate sent by a tracked service, we can send it using Royal Mail Special Delivery. If you wish to pay for tracked delivery to a UK address, please follow this link:
Certificates to overseas addresses
Royal Mail is unable to provide a tracking service for most overseas countries. Certificates are therefore sent by standard airmail which is not a tracked service. Although the vast majority of certificates are received, occasionally some items will get lost. In order to guarantee the delivery of your certificate, we strongly advise you to pay for DHL Express Worldwide service to deliver your certificate. The cost for this service is dependent on the destination country and is available to more than 220 countries worldwide.

Order DHL delivery of your certificate (overseas addresses only)
Closing Date for Priority Dispatch of Tracked delivery (January 2027 graduation ceremonies)
Orders for tracked delivery received by 11th December 2026 will be processed before the ceremonies, and these certificates will be posted week beginning 18 January 2027.
Orders for tracked delivery received after 11th December will be processed and posted after the priority dispatch certificates have been sent. This is likely to be week beginning 1 February 2027

Please note
We cannot issue certificates to any third party on your behalf.
If you do not provide a mailing address for your certificate, it will be taken to Student Information Desk (SID) after the ceremonies have taken place. You should contact the Graduation Team to check on the status of your certificate before going to SID to collect.
Certificates lost in transit
Should your certificate not arrive, please contact us. If you choose a standard service for delivery, you may need to order a replacement certificate (for which the usual fee will be charged) from.
