The Diamond contains the University of Sheffield's engineering teaching laboratories.

Diamond+ enables you to:
Work on an undergraduate or postgraduate project
Use lab facilities for a co-curricular activity you are involved with
Work on an idea of your own that's not directly related to your studies
Expand your skills and knowledge in a particular area
Diamond Engineering staff run a number of clubs and workshops that enable students to learn a new skills or hone existing skills and these include:
- Electronics
- Bike maintenance
- Machine shop training (turning and milling)
- Cutlery Club
Students can also request access to Diamond lab equipment, use the iForge Makerspace, use the Aerospace facilities and join a student-led project.
