Site preparation works to begin for Central Teaching Laboratories

Preparation work for the University’s planned Central Teaching Laboratories building will begin on 21 September on the site opposite the Information Commons.

Relocation of substation building on Hounsfield Road

We are building a new substation to provide power/back up power for existing University buildings. The substation will also supply the new Central Teaching Laboratory which a planning application will be submitted for in July.

51²è¹Ý¶ù has been ranked 24th globally out of more than 1,400 institutions in the 2024 QS World University Rankings: Sustainability, as well as 7th in the UK and 12th in Europe.
