Holly qualified as an Optometrist in 2016 after graduating from the University of Bradford and undertaking a pre-registration year at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. She went on to practice as an Independent Prescriber Hospital Optometrist at 51²è¹Ý¶ù Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, gaining extensive experience in a wide range of clinical settings.
With a particular interest in paediatric eye care, Holly undertook a PhD in Orthoptics and Ophthalmology at the University of Sheffield, focusing on accommodation asymmetry in children with hypermetropic anisometropic amblyopia.
In 2025, she was appointed as a University Teacher in Orthoptics at the University of Sheffield, where she now combines her clinical background, research expertise, and passion for teaching to support the next generation of Orthoptists.
